Conservation Fund
We are committed to making a difference. As such, we are committing a portion of all of our income to a conservation fund that we will be establishing. We will also seek public contributions for this fund whenever possible. The purpose of this fund will be to help support various conservation projects, either directly, or via like minded organizations that will manage funding contribution for a variety of conservation research programs. Examples of these organizations may include Parrots International, The World Parrot Trust, Wildlife Warriors International, Conservation International, Macaws Without Borders, the work of Dr. Chris Vaugn (University of Wisconsin) and Dr. Charles Munn.
A portion of the fund will be set aside for our own parrot rescue work and we will help to provide financial support and training assitance for other parrot rescues in the Chicago area.
A portion of the fund may also be used to help offset expenses to help provide educational opportunities for schools in areas of need.
In order to remain financially responsible and accountable, we will set up an advisory board to help select recipients of this funding. We will report our annual collection and dispersement of the funding publicly.
